Hello, how are you :)

Thank you for taking the time to come over and look at my work. Everything you see here has my heart and soul in it as all my work starts out as hand drawn. Please go ahead and find out more about me and the art process. Further questions always welcome.
Why work with me?
Why clients love working with you?
You will find me friendly, fun, prompt, collaborative, responsive to feedback, on time, on target, on budget. I thrive on creating within the boundaries of the restrictions and objectives you have. We blend all the parameters you need to abide by, plus your original vision with my creative magic, into tasty, one of a kind art. My work works, it engages, it will bring in the bacon for you and the joy for your customers and the connection and the growth. I am abundant with ideas, lots of clients are amazed how many concepts they get to choose from. Working one on one is great, I am flexible with revisions and client feedback. Being part of a team is one of my favorite ways to work, as I enjoy the different kind of creative sparkle everyone has to offer. Previously I had the good fortune to work with Starbucks Coffee Company in house, teams from NBBJ, Seattle Children's hospital and ZGF Architects.
What is unique about working with you?
Designing visuals that come alive with a SOUL is my forte. It is a joy for me to bring out the vision you have in mind for your project into physical manifestation. Connection is a key word for me, my main goal is to create that on all levels: connect to the project, the brief, the client, the process, the audience. In the end all the connections reveal more and more connections, the joy grows like delightful giant beach ball that collects more love as it rolls around in the world. You will be thinking: yes, this is for me! This is who I am! I love this!

"We were just out at Federal Way/South Clinic and WOW WOW WOW! Your work out there is amazing, fun and just plain wonderful. Thank you – as always – for being such a creative and wonderfully intuitive partner!"- Kathi E. Seattle Childrens' Brand Manager
“Building a chocolate factory has been a dream of mine since I first started working with cacao farmers almost 20 years ago in Latin America. Theo Chocolate is a dream come true. To help convey our passion through our branding we turned to Zaara. Zaara completely understood our mission, embraced our Company and shared our passion for creating beautiful and meaningful products. I loved our logo that Zaara created from the very first moment she unveiled it! Our logo is beautiful, meaningful and timeless – iconic. The packaging that Zaara created for us also captured the attributes that we wanted to share with consumers in an innovative and imaginative way. Theo Chocolate would not be the same without Zaara’s fabulous contributions.
Thank you Zaara for your extraordinary work. I love working with you!”
- Joe W. Theo Chocolate Founder
How do we get started?
First we chat on the phone or in person and find out a bit about each other. You can ask me all your questions about working with me and the design process, I find out about your project, your deliverables, objectives, what is most important for you and everyone involved, what are your dos and don'ts. Once I have the basics clear, I will prepare a written creative brief that confirms the above info along with a detailed estimate. At that point, after reading the brief you can say YAY or nay. If you say YAY, I say YAY too! Email or call me and let's get started!
How much does it cost?
Similarly to other service organizations, invoices are based on the time I invest in a project. For graphic design and packaging most assignments are estimated on a project basis. In the estimate I prepare for you, you will see a flat concept fee (time spend coming up with ideas) and an hourly breakdown for the time needed to execute the concept. Otherwise I bill my time at $ 125.00 per hour for extra design work and meetings. For illustration projects usage/intellectual property rights transferred to you factor into pricing. We will figure out the exact use you need for the art and your estimate will reflect this accordingly. Murals are billed per square foot ($ 46 for single color, $ 57 for full color) in addition to a flat concept fee. This does not include production or installation.
During the course of the project I always keep you up to date and informed of progress. Activities that will affect the schedule or budget (over 20%) will be identified in writing. My goal is to keep your project moving ahead quickly, smoothly and cost effectively; to make sure that I’ll produce results that will surpass all your expectations.
Frequently Asked Questions
How did you come up with the name KittenChops?! What does it mean?
When I was brainstorming for a name for my fledgling business, I happened to be really hungry and started to think about food as I was sketching. One of these little drawings was a chicken drumstick which ended up having a cat face on it. 😳😍😋😋😋🍀💕🍗🐱 I thought it was just lovely and the name KittenChops just presented itself right then and there. I just knew that this was it! 🐱🐯🦁💕💕💕🍭☺️ The name to me means a tasty thing that most people like and connect with, something fun to make and share. Just like when cats clean their chops after they have eaten✨🌟🌟 Bon Appetite, enjoy the colors and the flavors! 🤗🤗🤗🍓🍭🍄
How many cats do you have?
In physical reality at this time only two feline friends are living with me; Mitsu and Mazsi. In my heart a million more do. One day, I hope to know the connection I could have with a canine friend too. (Right now I crushing on a couple of Shiba Inu and Pomeranian Instagram accounts 😍😌🐶) I love hearing about kittens and all other pets. Do you have any? If so, do share! I keep a separate photo album of my kitties on my phone, always on the ready to share the joy and beauty they bring to my life. 🦁🐯🐱🐱🐱🐱🐯🦁🐯🐱🐱🦁🐱🐯🐯🐱🐯🐯🐯🐱💕💕🐯💕🦁
Where is your accent from?
My accent gives away that I was born in Hungary 🏊🎻⚽️🌶🍏🍎🍎 (why is there no emoticon for a Rubik's cube?!?! ) and lived there too until my junior year in college. People often guess Scandinavia, or Eastern Europe.
